​Our Monthly Horsemanship Lessons are designed for riders who want more than occasional riding. We focus on true communication with horses, helping you build confidence, correct fundamentals, and long-term horsemanship skills in a structured and safe setting.

We use the proven Training Thru Trust Method, a step-by-step approach rooted in horse psychology and clear communication. This method allows riders to learn not just how to ride, but how to understand and work with horses in a way that builds trust, confidence, and competence.

Who These Lessons Are For

• Riders ages 5 to 75
• All experience levels, from first-time riders to those refining their horsemanship
• Anyone who wants to improve riding skills and deepen their relationship with horses

Our group lesson model keeps classes small (maximum of 4 riders per session), ensuring individual attention and a supportive learning environment.

• Next Monthly Lessons Begin: February 9th-27th (3-Week Session) $285 plus GST

Spring & Summer Session Dates:

• March 2nd-27th (4-Week Session) $340 plus GST
• March 30th-May 1st (5-Week Session) $425 plus GST
• May 4th-June 5th (5-Week Session) $425 plus GST
• June 15th-July 10th (4-Week Session) $340 plus GST
• July 20th- July 31st (2-Week Session) $170 plus GST
• August 9th-29th (3-Week Session) $255 plus GST

Lessons run on a weekly schedule with the option to secure the same time slot each month once regular sessions resume. You can register directly through this page or contact us if you need help choosing a class or checking availability.

Pricing

• Pricing depends on season as well as how many lessons are included in that session. Price for each session is listed beside the session date. Winter lessons have a higher rate because lessons are in groups of 2.

No matter which program you chose, every student must complete the online waiver before their first lesson. You must fill out this waiver as well as register for your class below to save your spot. Your spot is not saved until we have received payment for your class.

Our Winter Coaches

Lynette Mills is the owner of Erin Valley Riding Stables! She has been teaching people and training horses for the last 30 years and continues to love every minute of it! She has been out of the Lesson Program for the past 10 years while she was travelling the world teaching the Training Thru Method her and her husband created. We are over to moon to have her back on the team! Her love for people and horses is larger than I have ever seen. 

Malaya Cholette is no stranger to Erin Valley or the Training Thru Trust program. She has been here since she was 5 and has revolved from a student, to horse trainer to coach. We love her soft spoken approach. She will be coaching with us for January & potentially February.

Rodeo & Horsemanship Coach
Sydney Deley is a valued coach at Erin Valley Riding Stables and Erin Valley Rodeo Academy and has been an integral part of the program for over 10 years.

Sydney has developed her horsemanship and rodeo skills entirely within the Erin Valley system, training all of her own horses using the Training Thru Trust Method. This long-term, hands-on experience has given her a deep understanding of correct horse development, communication, and consistency—making her highly effective at teaching these same fundamentals to students.

Throughout her time at Erin Valley, Sydney has worked with a wide variety of horses and riders, gaining extensive experience in horsemanship training, barrel racing, pole bending, and overall horse care. She understands the importance of building confident, willing horses and capable, knowledgeable riders from the ground up.

As a coach, Sydney is known for her calm, encouraging teaching style and her ability to meet riders where they are at. She places a strong emphasis on safety, clear communication, and helping students develop confidence and responsibility both in and out of the saddle. Her instruction follows the same principles, expectations, and standards that define the Erin Valley program.

Sydney is especially passionate about working with younger riders and beginners, helping them build strong foundations in horsemanship, respect for the horse, and pride in their progress. Her depth of experience within the Training Thru Trust method makes her a trusted mentor for students learning correct, long-term horsemanship skills.
